Ginninderra uses a multi-timer stopwatch to record athletes’ times. Along with a Place Judge, all runners have their place and time recorded.
All Cross Country races start at the same time and athletes will cross the line at different times and different directions (3km and 5km come from the “Right”, all others the “Left”, same way they started).
The Timekeeper and the Place Judge work together to ensure that every runner gets a place card (a sticky note with their finishing position) and a recorded time on the stop watch.
Athletes are asked to write their name on the back of their place card and return it to the Timekeeper at the end of the race. This is then added to the Result Sheet and posted to the website.
